It has been a long hiatus, but I'm back and I'm going to start posting again...
This is a limerick that I wrote back in 2009 to post on my Shaadi.com profile. Unfortunately, it was denied by the folks that run Shaadi.com as "unsuitable content".
I recently reread it and think it is still worthwhile posting, and perhaps was a prophesy of things to come....
There once was a woman with many a curve,
Who had courage of conviction and a bit of nerve,
She liked the brainy sort
Who enjoyed a team sport (or two)
And spoke to her with much verve.
Upon discovery of such a man,
Who hopefully would be a shade of tan,
Laughter would fill the sky,
And none would ever ask why,
The two are full of such elan.
